The answers to today's Strands, game #748, are…

  • SCHNOZZLE
  • MUZZLE
  • SNOUT
  • HONKER
  • BEAK
  • PROBOSCIS
  • SPANGRAM: ONTHENOSE

  • My rating: Easy
  • My score: Perfect

As someone who has been suffering with what feels like a never-ending cold, today’s search felt very ONTHENOSE.

Beyond immediately knowing what today’s search was about, there was also the unusual sight of four letter Zs, which could only mean SCHNOZZLE (a fun word to say no matter how you’re feeling) and MUZZLE.

Between the sneezes there were plenty of spelling challenges to juggle with, not least PROBOSCIS, a word I associate with the breed of monkey with a fabulous and very photogenic HONKER.

  • CURLICUE
